Men's Ministries
The Men's Ministries are dedicated to providing men with pathways for spiritual growth through Christian fellowship, Bible study, and mission outreach projects.
Men's Group and Breakfast
The men meet at 8:30 AM on the 1st and 3rd Saturdays in the Social Room (Room 006) for breakfast and fellowship.
Bible Studies
Also on the 1st and 3rd Saturdays, the men meet in the Social Room (Room 006) for Bible study after breakfast.
Retreats
A Men's Retreat is held at least once a year. The next Men's Retreat entitled 'Seeking a Godly Experience' is planned for January 9th - 10th, 2009. See the Men's Retreat fact sheet and registration form for more information.
Promise KeepersŪ Conferences
Promise Keepers events, when they are to be held near Newark, are advertised to the men; if there is sufficient interest, a group may be organized to attend.
Golf Outings
These are held occasionally, organized by various members of the men's group.
Ramp Ministry and Church Work Projects
On the 2nd and 4th Saturdays, the men meet to do ramp construction for a family in need, or some work project that needs to be done in or around the church facilities. Contact Gary Watson (gwatson(at)firstumcnewark.org) for more information.
Softball Team
During the summer, First Church fields a men's softball team that plays in a church league in Newark. Check this page in the spring for information on signup for the team.
